These NFTS represent the beginning of moving my existing and future content & creative efforts on chain and into web3. I will be moving most of my music to Emanate for streaming which allows token gating and is exploring fairer pay for creators.
The Magic Mushroom Collection is comprised of 200 unique, hand-colored Magic Mushroom Art Pieces. After going through some personal and family chaos in 2020 I began micro-dosing mushrooms as part of my path to processing the chaos that I had recently experienced. Through this process, I stepped away from music & business and began doodling and drawing while sitting in rooms on Clubhouse for hours on end. I came up with the Mushroom design and decided that this, or these, would be my genesis NFT.
Even though this is purely an Art Drop for me I will continue to add benefits to Shroom holders. I will be releasing exclusive music ONLY AVAILABLE for token holders that includes records with Craig G, Kool Moe Dee, Rappin 4 Tay, and a bunch of other collaborations. Future airdrops will include Art, Music Videos, Exclusive Music, and more. Other benefits include supporting our efforts to remove paywalls and barriers to valuable information about the Music Business. Shroomers will also get early access to future projects, and discounts on merch, tickets, and events.
Hakim is also the co-host of ‘Music Business Red Pill Sessions’ every Monday – Friday at 8 am PST / 11 am EST in the Blockchain Gospel on Clubhouse. Thanks in part to surrounding myself with the community here in web3, I landed on the Magic Mushroom design.
